Following on from Kym's (klnnlk) lead, here is my family. From left to right its Simon (14), David (21), John (me - 56), Helen (30). This picture was taken at Helen's wedding to Andy in Taormina, Sicily in October 2006. Hope it's not too much of a shock. Helen has been a wonderful daughter, helping me through some difficult times when my wife Christine passed away from MS in 2002. She would be proud of her 3 children now.

Did you know....
*The Australian tour was very succesful.
When they arrived to the Melbourne Airport, it was close to collapse.Their first TV special on Australia was seen by the 58% of the Aussie people, that is more than the people in Australia who watched the arriving of man to the moon.
*When they arrived to Sydney,they were very close to cancel the concert, because it was raining a lot. The people didnt care of that:they stayed here, till the rain was gone.
*In Perth, they had to cancel the concert for a false bomb alert. Benny didnt know about it and he stayed in the place of the concert.
It was reported that ABBA had been in a horrible plane crash and Frida was the only survivor. ABBA immediately tried to contact all of their representatives in record companies to quell this rumour.
*For all these problems, some people started to say that the true ABBA were so ugly,and for that they didnt want to be seen.What a stupid invention! isnt it?
*During the tour, a journalist said that Agnetha's bottom was the sexiest one in the pop world. Agnetha was really worried about it, and when people asked her about her bottom she said: "I dont know, Ive never seen it"
*But for Agnetha, the worst part of the tour was to be far from her daughter.
*On that years every Australian home had an ABBA cd.

*La gira por Australia fue todo un exito.Cuando llegaron al aeropuerto de Melbourne, este esuvo a punto de colapsar. Su primer especial de TV, fue visto por el 58% de la poblacion Australiana, eso es más que los australianos que vieron la llegada del hombre a la luna.
*Cuando llegaron a Sydney, estuvieron muy cerca de cancelar el concierto por la lluvia. Al publico no le importó, se quedaron alli hasta que la lluvia cesó.

*Por todos esos inconvenientes, unas personas empezaron a comentar que los miembros de ABBA, eran tan feos, que no se atrevian a hacer el concierto...que tonto..no creen?
*Durante el tour, un periodista dijo que el trasero de Agnetha era el mas sexy del mundo del pop.Agnetha estaba realmente preocupada, y cuando le preguntaban sobre eso ella decia:"No lo sé, nunca me lo he visto".
*Pero la peor parte del tour para Agnetha fue estar separada de sus hijos.
*En esos años, todos los hogares australianos tenian un CD de ABBA
